Circuit clerk’s office offers ability to vote absentee for August 8 election
SUMMARY: The circuit court in Lowndes County, Mississippi is offering absentee voting for the upcoming elections. Absentee voting started 45 days before the elections and so far 250 people have voted absentee. People over the age of 65, working on election day, or unable to be in their respective county on election day are eligible to vote absentee in person at the circuit clerk's office. Out-of-town residents, disabled voters, dependents or spouses of disabled voters, and anyone 65 or older can vote absentee by mail. The last day for in-person absentee voting is this Saturday.
