Carpenter has been actively engaging with local businesses and community to showcase the 's offerings, such as its 130 restaurants and over 1,200 lodging spaces. Through collaborative efforts with Visit Mississippi and the Mississippi Authority, the team concentrates on identifying and fulfilling the preferences of their target customers. Carpenter will retire in March and plans to continue her involvement with the Tennessee Williams House and the Columbus Cultural and Heritage Foundation.
