Stennis Space Center nears end of certification process for NASA Artemis moon missions
SUMMARY: NASA is nearing the completion of its engine testing for the Artemis moon missions, with the Mississippi Gulf Coast playing a crucial part. A significant test series for the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket's RS-25 engines commenced at Stennis Space Center. Recently, a successful full-duration hot fire test marked the 11th out of 12 planned tests to certify new RS-25 engines. These engines, manufactured by Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3 Harris Technologies company, will propel future Artemis missions, beginning with Artemis V. The SLS rocket, powered by four RS-25 engines and two solid rocket boosters, will generate over 8.8 million pounds of thrust at lift-off.

Mississippi congressman accused of assaulting Palestine supporter at Capitol

Gulfport man sentenced to life after killing another man in drunken rage
