48 arrested in Mississippi fentanyl operation
SUMMARY: In January and February, numerous individuals were arrested by the Fentanyl Strike Force with the participation of over a dozen law enforcement agencies. Two pill presses, 76,000 pills, and 12 guns were seized during one of the operations.

Jackson fire station demolished
SUMMARY: The Jackson Fire Department is bidding farewell to their old Fire Station 20 on Medgar Evers Boulevard as demolition crews begin tearing down the building. The new fire station, located next door, prompted many firefighters stationed there to watch the demolition. Veterans of the department expressed mixed feelings as they said goodbye to a building that had been their home for many years. Despite being one of the oldest stations in the city, the firefighters acknowledged that it was time for a change. Good memories and camaraderie were shared in the old building, making it a bittersweet moment for all involved.

Tree falls into South Jackson home

Houston educator receives VFW top award
