Ole Miss is top ranked for veterans

Myrtle softball takes game one over Pine Grove
SUMMARY: At the Myrtle Attendance Center, the Lady Hawks scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning. The pitcher, Brooklyn Strike, was dominant on the mound, with the defense only allowing one run. The game ended with Myrtle winning 2-1 in the top of the fourth inning. Cory Kelly hit a crucial play that led to the first score of the game by Ali Murphy. The Hawks' strong defense and pitching performance secured their victory in game one of the series.

State auditor reflects on his work and his future
SUMMARY: New State Auditor Shad White gained recognition for investigations into misspent welfare money, including a legal battle with Brett Favre over nearly $730,000 in interest on improperly received funds.
