Here’s what you should know for Mississippi’s primary on March 12

SUMMARY: Mississippi's Presidential Primary Election Day is on March 12th, featuring offices like President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. Representative. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone in line at 7:00 p.m. can vote. Issues at the polls will be reported to authorities. Deadlines include in-person absentee on March 9, mail-in absentee ballots postmarked by March 12, and affidavits requiring IDs by March 19. Voters must show photo ID, no campaigning within 150 feet of polling places, and no loitering within 30 feet. The Secretary of 's Office will only release certified election results. For election questions, contact the Elections Division.
