No E. coli found in Jackson water after MSDH retests samples, advisory remains in effect
SUMMARY: Officials in Jackson, Mississippi, assert their city's water is safe despite previous E. coli concerns. Third-party water utility JXN Water had six water samples, initially reported as contaminated, retested by the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), discovering no E. coli presence. JXN Water questions MSDH's decision to issue a boil-water notice without reconfirming initial results, noting the significant economic impact and loss of consumer confidence. Despite acknowledgment of false positives, the MSDH requires two consecutive days of clean samples before lifting the alert for the over 160,000 residents of Jackson and Flowood. JXN Water is expediting further testing to resolve the issue.

She competes in the final stage of season 25, hoping to emulate past winner Todd Tilghman's success and become the first Mississippi-linked victor since 2020.
