Mississippi legislature to take on Alabama legislature in Battle of Tombigbee charity baseball game
SUMMARY: The Mississippi and Alabama legislatures will face off in a charity softball game dubbed the “Battle of Tombigbee” on Saturday at Trustmark Park. Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves and Alabama Governor Kay Ivey have engaged in playful trash talk ahead of the event. Reeves emphasized Mississippi's recent NCAA baseball success and claimed, “We're just a state filled with winners.” In contrast, Ivey countered by asserting Alabama's prowess in baseball and humorously suggested that Mississippi should prepare to send over some catfish after Alabama's expected victory. The game is building anticipation and camaraderie between the two states.
