Man dies after alleged fight at Natchez hotel
SUMMARY: A man who was injured during a fight at a hotel in Natchez, Mississippi has died. The victim, 46-year-old Matias Trevino Sanchez, died at the University of Mississippi Medical Center after being airlifted from the scene. Police arrested 26-year-old Jose Guadalupe Zapien in connection with the incident, but investigators revealed that Zapien is actually the brother of the man who allegedly assaulted Sanchez, and he took the fall for his brother. Zapien is currently charged with aggravated assault, but the charge is expected to be updated to obstruction of justice once his brother is extradited. The investigation is ongoing.

SUMMARY: JXN Water announced a temporary road closure on Paden Street in Jackson, Mississippi due to a large sinkhole.
