One injured, another in custody after evening shooting in Houlka
SUMMARY: A man in Chickasaw County is hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds following a shooting. The incident occurred on County Road 308, with the victim identified as James Griffin. ‘He heard the tree creaking’: Fallen tree damages South Jackson family’s home
SUMMARY: A South Jackson family is grateful to be alive after a large tree fell on their home on Dorgan Street in the early morning hours. The tree, located in a neighbor's backyard, was uprooted by strong winds and fell on their roof. The couple, Latata and her husband, were in bed when the husband heard the tree coming down. They were alerted by the noise and managed to run out of the house in time to avoid any injuries. Thankfully, no one was hurt during this incident.
