Petal food bank staring at lack of food
SUMMARY: The Petal food bank, which supplies hundreds of families with free food boxes every month, is running low on food. The Pedal children's task force is asking for donations of all types of food, from jelly to canned meats, as they distribute food boxes to over 750 families in the pedal School District. The organization also provides USDA food to people in other counties. Due to shortages, they are struggling to find and purchase food in bulk. The Food Bank is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and has been helping local families since 1989.
