Former Pine Belt baseball standout sentenced to prison in Indiana
SUMMARY: Former Pine Belt baseball star and Major League outfielder, Dustin Moore, has been sentenced to 9 years in prison for child sexual abuse charges. The 47-year-old was found guilty of three counts, with two years suspended. In addition to the prison sentence, he was ordered to pay over $133,000 to two people. Moore, who starred at Oak Grove High School and the University of Alabama, will serve his sentence for child solicitation, seduction, and misconduct with a minor.

Shafer Center offering 'Green Dot' training
SUMMARY: April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and the Schaefer Center for Crisis Intervention in Pine Belt is working to break the stigma by encouraging everyone to get involved.
