SUMMARY: Two ATV accidents in Lowndes County, Mississippi resulted in two people being airlifted for care. The first crash occurred on Wright Road in Caledonia, where a mother and three children were ejected from a Can-Am side-by-side. Two children were treated and released, the mother was taken to Baptist Golden Triangle, and a six-year-old was airlifted to Jackson. The second crash happened near Canfield Road, where a 24-year-old was thrown from a side-by-side and flown to Jackson for treatment. A passenger in this accident was not injured. SUMMARY: An inmate in the Lowndes County jail, 52-year-old Eddie Thomas Jr., was found dead in his cell after being in jail for 56 days.
