Velma Jackson Zone moves to distance learning due to ice on roads
SUMMARY: Students in the Velma Jackson Zone of the Madison County School District in Mississippi will move to distance learning on Thursday due to continued presence of ice on the roads. Principals of schools in the zone will communicate the specifics of the distance learning schedule to their school families. Meanwhile, students in the Germantown, Madison, and Ridgeland Zones of the district will return to in-person learning as usual on Thursday. These measures are being taken due to the winter weather conditions in northeastern Madison County, which is keeping tow truck drivers busy.
