Tupelo police make arrest for incident that happened in March

SUMMARY: An arrest was made in Tupelo in connection with a vehicle theft that occurred in March. Police were dispatched to a business on Cliff Gookin Boulevard, where employees reported a vehicle had been stolen during the night. Following an investigation, 32-year-old Deautay Payne was arrested and charged with felony taking of a motor vehicle. Payne's bond was set at $10,000, and the charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.

HOA president speaks after shots fired into Brandon home

Courtney Stewart Wiggly was arrested for shooting her husband, Daryl Wiggly, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was flown to Jackson for treatment. Courtney is in custody at Lowndes County Adult Detention Center awaiting her Initial Appearance. The incident is being investigated as aggravated domestic violence.
