Property owners speak on Jackson's deterioration

High school baseball/softball playoff scores

Jones County VFDs have busy Sunday morning
SUMMARY: Jones County firefighters had a busy weekend responding to two structure fires within an hour. The first fire occurred at a mobile home on Masonite Lake Road, with no injuries reported but severe damage to the home. The second fire occurred at a brick house on South Front Street in Sandersville. While the outside of the house was saved, the inside was severely damaged. No injuries were reported in this fire either. The Jones County Sheriff's Office will conduct a full investigation as the fire was deemed suspicious. Multiple departments responded to both fires, working together to extinguish the blazes and train new recruits.
