Things to know when voting in August Primary Election
SUMMARY: Circuit Clerk Connie Ladner shared four important reminders for Harrison County voters: Firstly, ID is mandatory for voting in Mississippi. Secondly, you can find your polling location on the county website if unsure. Thirdly, as it is a primary election, voters must specify whether they wish to vote Republican or Democrat. USM Army and Air Force ROTC programs host Commissioning Ceremonies
SUMMARY: Ten Army and three Air Force cadets from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) ROTC were commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The Army ceremony at Camp Shelby featured Major General Janson D. Boyles, while the Air Force ceremony on campus featured Brigadier General Mary-Kathryn Haddad. LTC Juan J. Ortiz praised the Army cadets for their leadership, and Lt. Col. Sheena Puleali'i commended the Air Force cadets for their commitment. Distinguished Military Graduate 2LT Jeremiah J. Parker expressed pride in his training and future goals. Commissioned cadets include 2LT Miruna Avram, 2LT Braxton Bailey, 2LT Jada Fairley, among others.
