Stennis Space Center concludes over two decades of rocket engine testing partnership
SUMMARY: NASA's Stennis Space Center has completed over two decades of testing the world's most powerful hydrogen-fueled rocket engine with Aerojet Rocketdyne. The RS-68 engines were used to power the Delta IV rocket for the U.S. Air Force's Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle Program. NASA Stennis became the first NASA center to lease its test facilities to a commercial company, allowing Aerojet Rocketdyne to modify, maintain, and operate the B-1 Test Stand for testing of the RS-68 engines. The engines have been highly successful, powering 44 launches with a 100% mission success rate. The final Delta IV mission is scheduled for March 2024.

The victory came in front of a historic crowd at Pete Taylor Park. Despite Ole Miss starting strong with a 4-0 lead, Southern Miss's offense sparked midway through the game. Carson Paetow and Nike Monistere's hits tied the game, and further scoring, including Ozzie Pratt's contribution, ensured a lead that Southern Miss held onto. The pitching staff, including JB Middleton and Colby Allen, kept Ole Miss at bay. Southern Miss's next games are against Texas State, while Ole Miss faces LSU.

SUMMARY: Mississippi State University is launching the Dr. Elton Mac Huddleston Rural Veterinarians Scholarship to address a shortage of large animal veterinarians in rural Mississippi. Supported by House Bill 1210, the program will provide scholarships to veterinary students who commit to practicing in underserved rural areas, with a focus on food supply animals. The incentive includes loan repayment assistance for current veterinarians seeking further large animal training. The university has received $18 million to upgrade its veterinary facilities in support of the initiative starting this fall, with penalties for recipients who don't fulfill their practice obligations.
