SUMMARY: SaPerior Patton, president of the Safe Place Foundation in Starkville, Mississippi, organized an where community members could have their clothes washed for . Patton, who grew up without clean clothes at times, wanted to others in similar situations. The foundation, which started during the pandemic, provides plates of food to the community and has served nearly 17,000 people. The event provided detergent, dryer sheets, and quarters, and all people had to do was bring their laundry. Patton encourages people to start helping others with what they have and let God take care of the rest.
