SUMMARY: Starkville is hosting the “Making Main Mary” event on Thursday and is seeking volunteers to decorate the city for Christmas. The community is invited to help put up Christmas decorations, with city leaders hoping to unite the community for this festive activity. Last year's volunteers are seen on the screen, and their assistance is needed again to create a beautiful holiday ambiance in downtown Starkville. People often share pictures of their special moments in the downtown area during the holidays, making this event even more meaningful. The event starts at 9:00 am, and volunteers will receive a t-shirt and food for their efforts.

The “Making Main Merry” event is happening November 9th.

SUMMARY: A South Jackson family is grateful to be alive after a large tree fell on their home on Dorgan Street in the early morning hours. The tree, located in a neighbor's backyard, was uprooted by strong winds and fell on their roof. The couple, Latata and her husband, were in bed when the husband heard the tree coming down. They were alerted by the noise and managed to run out of the house in time to avoid any injuries. Thankfully, no one was hurt during this incident.
