Soso gym may be demolished for good

The gym, which has been standing since 1938, recently had its roof collapse. The mayor is to save the historic building and the memories associated with it. However, the Soso board of the Jones County schools voted not to accept the offer to repair the gym. Many people in the community are disappointed in the board's and the mayor is hoping to find a solution.

Jones County School Board voted to tear it down this , but the mayor of Soso is still trying to save the historic gym and the memories that surround it.

Soldiers Freedom Outdoors unveils new signage at Camp Meridale

Belhaven softball earns invite into NCAA Tournament

The Blazers, ranked 19th nationally, will travel to Saint Louis for the WASU Regional and face off against Grinnell. Despite a disappointing loss in their conference tournament final, the team is determined to make a big in the College World after falling short in the Super Regionals last year. The players are focused and have a strong work ethic, ready to compete and have fun while aiming to achieve their goals. They are eager to bounce back and make the most of this .

The fourth year in a row the Belhaven softball team is going to the Division III . The new goal is to make it out of the Super Regionals but first they'll need handle business in the Wash-U Regional this . The Blazers open with Grinnell on Thursday.
