Beth Ann White sentenced to 110 years for DUI that killed 2
SUMMARY: A woman named Bethann White received one of the longest sentences ever handed down in Hinds County for causing a deadly drunk driving collision that killed a mother and child and severely injured two other daughters. The judge cited White's lack of remorse as a factor in his decision. White's defense attorney immediately filed an appeal, arguing that the state failed to prove her blood alcohol content was above the legal limit at the time of the crash. White will have to serve at least 50% of her 110-year sentence before she is eligible for parole, and it is unlikely she will live long enough to be released from prison.
