Man arrested in Rankin County for trafficking 22 pounds of fentanyl
SUMMARY: A man was arrested in Rankin County, Mississippi after deputies discovered 22 pounds of fentanyl during a traffic stop on Interstate 20. The driver, Arturo Gonsen-Miranda, was charged with aggravated trafficking of a controlled substance. The arrest was made after the deputies developed probable cause that the driver may be involved in drug trafficking. A K-9 partner named “Voodoo” alerted on the vehicle, leading to the discovery of two false compartments where the fentanyl was found. JPS announces RFP for surplus school sites

1 killed, 1 injured in May 12-13 storms in Mississippi
