Red Snapper season now open
SUMMARY: Anglers in South Mississippi now have the opportunity to participate in the open season for Red Snapper and Gag Grouper fishing. This season will continue seven days a week, until the annual limits for recreational fishing are reached. Finfish Bureau Director Trevor Moncrief stated that the extended season will provide more opportunities for anglers, especially during the holidays and cooler months. There is currently no projected close date. Changes in weather and other activities will influence the duration of the season.

USM Graduate School holds annual Susan A. Siltanen Graduate Student Research Symposium

Mississippi’s Own Mac McAnally Performs at iMPAC on July 27
