Rankin County NAACP president on changes at sheriff’s office

SUMMARY: The Rankin County Sheriff's Office in Mississippi has implemented new policy changes the guilty pleas of six former for torturing two Black in January. Sheriff Bailey stated that many of the new policies are now available on the department's website. However, local activists, Angela English, the president of the Rankin County NAACP, believe that these changes are too little, too late from Bailey. Bailey has also hired an external internal affairs investigator and plans to expand the Compliance Division.
