Notice Kayleigh Clark wasn’t on American Idol this week? Here’s where she was

If you tuned in to American Idol this and were wondering where Mississippi native Kayleigh Clark was, well we now have an answer.

Clark, a 17-year-old aspiring country music singer out of Sumrall, revealed on Facebook that she actually had when the performance and duet rounds were taking place. However, the judges her to perform from her hotel room and she was able to make it through Hollywood week and onto the showstopper round.

“Now that performance and duet rounds have to an end, I can fill you all in on my situation,” Clark wrote. “My Hollywood week experience was just a little different than what my friends were able to experience. I was diagnosed with Covid and got really sick, so my auditions were held from my room virtually. Staying in my room fighting fever, chills, cough, and body aches…… I was still able to make it through the performance AND the duet round.”
