NEMS Habitat for Humanity celebrates 4 decades of changing lives
SUMMARY: Northeast Mississippi Habitat for Humanity is looking to the future with ambitious goals of raising $2.5 million to build 15 to 20 homes in Lee County by 2027. The organization has already built 140 homes, with half of the homeowners having paid off their loans. Each homeowner receives a no-interest loan and contributes sweat equity to their home. Habitat Home number 141 is being built in Verona by a local business and anonymous donors. The organization is also seeking volunteers and community support to achieve their capital campaign goals.
