MSU police, area agencies aim to encourage students to drive sober
SUMMARY: Mississippi State University (MSU) police have partnered with other law enforcement agencies to educate students about the dangers of drinking and driving. Using special goggles to simulate the effects of being drunk, students attempted to perform simple tasks and drive a three-wheeled bike through an obstacle course. MSU Police Chief Kenneth Rogers emphasized the importance of not taking the chance to drive, even if a person feels a little buzzed. Instead, he encouraged students to utilize alternative transportation options like Uber or a sober friend to avoid potential accidents that could cost lives.
