Mississippi cannabis dispensary businesses slowed by product holds
SUMMARY: Cannabis dispensaries in Mississippi are facing challenges due to product holds caused by pesticide levels. Some dispensaries have had to shut down temporarily. Despite these setbacks, businesses like Uptown Funk Dispensary remain optimistic about the future of the medical cannabis industry in the state. The Mississippi State Department of Health announced its intent to revoke the license of a medical marijuana testing facility, Rapid Analytics, due to issues with product testing. While these challenges have impacted businesses, there is confidence in the growth of the industry in Mississippi. Rapid Analytics has the option to appeal the decision within 20 days.
