A high threat level for severe weather was observed in Kansas and Oklahoma. As the system shifts eastward, there is still a level two to three threat for severe weather in the Ohio River Valley. The rest of the week will see chances of showers and storms, with the possibility of cooler temperatures by the weekend. Mother's Day weekend is expected to be pleasant with temperatures in the low 70s. Stay alert for severe weather alerts and be prepared for possible showers.

Oktibbeha County awarded $500,000 to repair bridge
SUMMARY: Repairs are set to begin on a bridge in Oaha County that has been closed for two years. The legislative session ended last week and funding has been secured for the unsafe bridge on Morgantown Road. Residents have had to take a 30-minute detour since the closure, impacting their daily commute to work and school. State funds have been secured, but more funding is needed to fully repair the bridge. County leaders are planning to petition for additional money from Washington. In related news, legislation in honor of a local young man who took his life is also being addressed by representatives in Oaha County.
