Local school and sheriff’s department team up to help
SUMMARY: During the holiday season in Lowndes County, Mississippi, while many prepare for festivities, others struggle to meet basic needs. The county's 25 neighborhood pantries are running low on supplies. The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office and Fairview Elementary School have teamed up to address the situation. Fairview's students collected over 1,800 canned goods to restock the pantries. The initiative teaches the importance of giving, with the aim to inspire others to contribute to their community. The Sheriff's Office encourages the public to donate non-perishable items to aid these efforts.
