SUMMARY: Tamika Reed's contract as head coach of the Jackson women's basketball team has expired, making her a agent. It is uncertain whether she will return next season, as she has been pursued by other programs such as Tulane, Miami, Virginia Tech, and Tennessee. Reed has received praise from basketball legends such as Kim Mulkey, Dawn Staley, and Geno Auriemma for her work at Jackson State. While Ashley Robinson and Reed may be negotiating a new deal, her future with the team remains uncertain. Fans will have to wait and see if the Hall of Fame caliber coach will return to JSU.

Multiple SWAC Champion and Coach of the Year Tomekia Reed is no longer under contract at JSU. That doesn't rule out a return to Jackson State but she can explore other options. Rod Walker of Nola.com reported that Tulane has interviewed her for their opening. There are other openings in women's basketball Miami, Tennesse and Virginia Tech among others. We'll see if the legendary head coach returns to JSU or if another school gives her an offer she can't refuse.
