Laurel Middle School to compete in its first robotics competition

SUMMARY: Members of the Laurel Middle School robotics team are preparing to compete in their first competition in Meridian. The team consists of 20 students and is divided into sub-teams for building, mechanics, electric, strategy, and communications. The challenge for the robot in the competition is to pick up pixels and shoot a drone. The team started working on the robot in November and have made significant progress. The experience has been valuable for the students to learn leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. They will be competing against 22 other teams in the upcoming competition.
