JSU women's basketball gets first AP Poll vote
SUMMARY: Jackson State Women's Basketball received their first ever vote in the AP Top 25 Poll, placing them among the top 37 teams in the country with a 21-6 record and a perfect 16-0 record in the SWAC. The men's team, despite injuries, is close to winning double-digit conference games and securing the sixth spot in the SWAC Tournament. Both teams are making the most of their opportunities and aiming to finish the season strong. The Tigers will host Pine Bluff in a doubleheader at the Arc on Tuesday night, as they aim to finish strong and enter the tournament on a hot streak.
For the first time in program history the Jackson State women's basketball team has been recognized by Associated Press voters. JSU received a vote in the latest AP Top 25 Poll. If you extend the top 25 poll out to the programs receiving votes then the Tigers are considered one of the top 37 teams in the country. The JSU women's squad wraps up the regular season this week at home. They play Arkansas Pine-Bluff tomorrow night. Also the JSU men's team is on the verge of winning double digit conference games despite the injuries they have to endure.
