Honoring others through a legacy
SUMMARY: Libby Hankins lived with Cystic Fibrosis her whole life, facing challenges and medical treatments. Despite this, she lived a normal life, being a cheerleader, homecoming queen, and college student. She eventually received a lung transplant but passed away after complications. Her legacy lives on through the “Live-Like-Libby, Love-Like-Libby Foundation” that focuses on special needs children, animal rescues, and organ donation awareness. The community honors her with “17 Acts of Kindness Week” leading up to her transplant anniversary. Libby's family continues her legacy, inspired by her selfless decision to donate her organs and make a positive impact.
