Here’s what went right and what went wrong for the Saints in loss to Texans
SUMMARY: The New Orleans Saints lost 20-13 to the Houston Texans in a frustrating game. The Saints outperformed the Texans in yards and first downs, thanks to strong performances from quarterback Derek Carr and running back Alvin Kamara. The defense forced two interceptions from rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud and put pressure on him with sacks and hurries. However, the Saints had several penalties and failed to score in the red zone. Kicker Blake Grupe missed two field goals, and a forced interception was immediately lost due to a fumble. Head coach Dennis Allen was disappointed with missed opportunities and mistakes. The Saints will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in their next game.

Mississippi casinos see slight revenue increase in first quarter of 2024
SUMMARY: In 2024, Mississippi casinos saw a revenue increase to $622.1 million, up from the previous quarter but down 2% year-over-year. The American Gaming Association reported a national record of $17.67 billion in gaming revenue. Slot machines and table games had modest growth, hindered by January weather. An all-time monthly revenue record was set in March. The report suggests that mobile sports betting could have boosted Mississippi's earnings, as it did nationally with a 22% annual increase to $3.33 billion. Mississippi had rejected mobile sports betting legislation, but lawmakers are considering revisiting the topic in 2025.
