Entergy crews work to restore power to Mississippi customers
SUMMARY: Severe storms in Mississippi caused extensive damage to Entergy's facilities, leaving 25,853 customers without power. 107 poles, 420 spans of downed wire, 19 transformers, and 46 crossarms were damaged. Crews are working to restore power safely and quickly, with additional workers requested. Part of Highway 51 in Madison is closed for line repairs. Customers without power should check for damage to their electrical equipment and call 1-800-9OUTAGE if their power is out and equipment appears undamaged. Damage assessment is 44% complete, and Entergy officials are working to address the widespread outages caused by the storms.
