Electrik Maid Bake Shop celebrates 100 years in business
SUMMARY: The Balius family is celebrating their 100th year in business at Electrik Maid Bakery in Biloxi. The business has a long history, starting in 1924 when Harrel Balius's grandfather was the head baker for the business owner. The franchise later moved to New Orleans, and in 1952 Paul Balius took over and moved it to Biloxi. In 1981, Electrik Maid Bakery was set up at its current location on Porter Avenue. The business has been operating there ever since, with the family celebrating their century of success in the bakery industry.
It's a huge day at Electrik Maid Bake Shop as they're celebrating 100 years of business in Biloxi.
