Northwest Rankin has a new boys basketball head coach
SUMMARY: Northwest Rankin High School has hired former Provine head coach, Sir Dante Washington, to lead their boys basketball program. Washington led Provine to two state semifinals in his 11 years as head coach. He brings his competitive style of play and work ethic to NWR, emphasizing the importance of hard work and daily grind. Washington replaces Josh Luckett, who is now at Clinton High School. The two coaches are good friends and will compete against each other in the upcoming season. Identity of body found in Tupelo remains a mystery
SUMMARY: The Lee County coroner seeks assistance in identifying a deceased woman found in a decomposed state in Tupelo on Sunday, May 12th, near Magazine and Incarnation Streets, close to the Salvation Army. Coroner Caroline Green describes the woman as very petite. The body is undergoing autopsy and DNA extraction at the medical examiner's office. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Lee County coroner's office at 662-687-1852. This is an update on a story first reported on Monday, May 13th.
The identity of the body found on May 12 in Tupelo remains a mystery.

$1.5 million invested into historic Farish Street District
