Eagle One site update in Hattiesburg
SUMMARY: COUNTY. LEADERS FROM LAMAR AND FORREST COUNTIES ARE PREPARING TO USE THEIR PART OF SEVENTEEN MILLION DOLLARS FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTS ACROSS THE PINE BELT. THE EAGLE ONE MEGA SITE RECENTLY RECEIVED MORE THAN THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENTS. THE AREA DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP IS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT 2100 ACRES OF LAND IS ATTRACTING MULTIPLE SUITORS. GOVERNOR TATE REEVES ANNOUNCED THAT THE SITE WOULD RECEIVE AROUND 360 THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS. THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF THIS SITE IS TO KEEP THE JOBS HERE AND GROW THE ECONOMY. HATTIESBURG HAS THE TOOLS TO GROW ITS ECONOMY AND FURTHER DIVERSIFY IT FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.
A joint effort between Forrest and Lamar counties has leaders excited about the next steps for the Eagle One Mega Site.

Travel center and casino expected to open later this year in Winston County
SUMMARY: A new Travel Center with a casino is set to open in Winston County, becoming the only casino in the Golden Triangle area. The Crystal Sky Trava Plaza will feature 150 slot machines, a Sportsbook Lounge, bar, and restaurant in an 18,000 square foot space. The project has been progressing well, with construction workers on site and an expected opening in December 2024. The Travel Center will also include retail space, fueling stations, and provide job opportunities for approximately 100 people in the community. Local officials are hopeful for the economic impact and potential boost to tourism in the area.

McComb PD app aims to draft the community in fight against crime
