Color Purple
SUMMARY: The musical production of “The Color Purple” is having sales all week. The week-long production started on Thursday at the McCoy Auditorium and will continue until Monday. Director Mark Henderson wanted to bring excitement to the community through the arts and decided to produce his own version of the play. Catia Madison, a JSU student, is playing the lead role and has a passion for acting and singing. The play includes many exciting parts and guest appearances, and has received positive reviews from the community. The month of October was selected as a backdrop to support breast cancer awareness, domestic violence awareness, and anti-bullying awareness.
