CASA of Hancock County’s 10th annual Poker Run
SUMMARY: The 10th Annual Casa of Hancock County Poker Run is taking place this Saturday. The event raises money for the recruitment and training of advocates to help children in court cases. This year's theme is halfway to Mardi Gras, with participants encouraged to dress up in purple, green, and gold. Local businesses in Bay St. Louis and surrounding areas provide sponsorships for the event. Participants travel to different stops and collect cards, with the chance to win prizes. Pre-registration is not necessary, but participants can pick up their poker hand on Friday or show up at Dan B's at 12 pm on Saturday.

Storm damage, power outages across the Coast and state
SUMMARY: Strong storms passed through South Mississippi with heavy rain, lightning, and power outages. Debris scattered along Highway 15 in George County and a tree went through a car's windshield in Brandon. In Alabama, a tornado touched down in DeKalb County, damaging at least 30 homes and injuring two people. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported, with officials attributing the lack of deaths to the preparations of first responders and citizens. Thousands lost power in the central part of the state, with reports of a transformer exploding. More damage photos and videos are available on WLx.com.
Storms passed through South Mississippi overnight and Friday morning. While the Coast has cleared, we're getting a look at just some of the damage left behind.
