Businesses on Menge Avenue waiting for return to normalcy
SUMMARY: Construction on the Menge Avenue Bridge in Jackson County is nearing completion after three months. The bridge is being prepared for Mississippi's first Buc-ee's travel center, and the official groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow. Local business owners in the area are concerned about how this development will impact their businesses. Many small shops and restaurants have been located on Menge Avenue for years. They hope that the new Buc-ee's will bring economic revenue but are worried about potential competition.
Tuesday, a new neighbor moves in the community. It's the groundbreaking of the highly anticipated Buc-ee's Travel Center.
