Mississippi Children’s Museum of Meridian hosts Magic Monday
SUMMARY: The Mississippi Children's Museum of Meridian held a “Magic Monday” ceremony themed “The Great Outdoors.” Despite the hot day, numerous indoor activities and an outdoor snow cone machine kept children entertained. Visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. participated in creating leaf rubbings and bird nests, and interacted with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science. Melinda Gof discussed the museum's summer plans, stating they are now open seven days a week, including Mondays when children aren't in school. Each Monday features a new theme; the next is “Mississippi Adventures,” covering activities from the Meridian area and beyond. This event marked the first of many successful Magic Mondays.
Hosting events like these can be unique, especially when it puts a smile on the kid's faces.
