Brandon couple looks for answers after sinkhole forms caused by repair crew
SUMMARY: A Brandon, Mississippi couple is seeking answers about a persistent sinkhole in their yard, weeks after initial repairs were made. The sinkhole first appeared on May 8 and has since worsened following further excavation. Tom Linville attributes the problem to a damaged water line caused by Comcast while laying new cables. Despite promises to fix it, the repairs remain unaddressed, leading to finger-pointing among city, county, and utility officials. Linville has contacted various authorities without resolution and now labels the sinkhole as a health and safety hazard. WAPT's Madeleine Nolan reports on the couple's frustrations and hopes for repair.
A sinkhole formed under a Brandon resident's home and the blame keeps being passed.
