Bond set for suspect after sports bar shooting in Laurel

SUMMARY: One person is dead after a shooting at a popular bar in Laurel. The suspect, Clifton McGruder, is behind bars with a 2 million dollar bond on multiple charges. The shooting happened in the bathroom of the restaurant, with both victims later dying at Forrest General Hospital. McGruder is being charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder. The judge set his bond at one million dollars for each charge. The police chief believes it was a spur-of-the-moment incident with no good reason. The incident will affect many people in Laurel.

24-year-old Clifton McGruger was arrested shortly after the shooting, according to LPD.
