Blue Alert issued for suspect accused of shooting officer in Mississippi

Authorities have issued a Blue Alert for a who is wanted in connection to an officer-involved shooting in Mound Bayou.

The issued the alert for Stanley Self, Jr., who allegedly shot a trooper in the arm on Tuesday around 7:05 a.m. on U.S. 61. The officer received non--threatening injuries.

Self, 23, is five feet and nine inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. According to authorities, he was last seen at Isaac Avenue at South Street and was wearing khaki pants and a white t-shirt.
