Biloxi hosts Forever Loved Adoption Celebration

Cold Case: Hurricane Katrina victim identified nearly two decades later

One finally received closure this after DNA testing identified their missing loved one, Tonette , nearly two decades after she disappeared. Her husband had desperately searched for her after the storm, but her body was only recently positively identified. Through forensic investigations and genetic genealogy research, Tonette's name was added to the list of victims on the Katrina Memorial. While her family still mourns her loss, they can now find comfort knowing she is at peace.

Coast Coliseum buying nearby homes to expand parking

Medical field certifications given to 14 high school seniors in Pascagoula-Gautier School Distric…

One student, Haley Jones, fulfilled her dream of becoming a medical assistant and will work at Health System. The graduated from Singing Academy's program and are certified in various medical fields. Jones found the challenging but rewarding. The program aims to address the shortage of healthcare workers by providing students with certification opportunities. Jones plans to pursue a nursing degree at Mississippi Coast Community College. The partnership between Singing River Health Academy and the school district began in 2021. Students can also become ultrasound techs and lab supervisors.

The students sat proudly as their names were called Wednesday at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula.
