Bienville Sports Medicine Kneed to See Game of the Week is Moss Point vs. Poplarville
SUMMARY: Several high school football teams in the “Southern Six” are starting their region games this week. Moss Point and Poplarville will face off in the 228Sports “Kneed to See” Game of the Week. Both teams had disappointing performances last week and are looking to bounce back in this game. The Sports Medicine staff from Bienville Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Center/Encore Rehab will be present on the sidelines to support the Moss Point Tigers. Dr. Eric Washington, a member of the highly qualified staff, has been practicing orthopaedic surgery for many years and specializes in hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and sports medicine. In other Region 8-4A play, Pass Christian will play against Greene County.

Tears Of Sadness And Joy Flow At RCS Ceremony Honoring Lee Tingle
SUMMARY: In an emotional ceremony at Lee Tingle Field in Pascagoula, Lee Tingle's No. 17 was honored by Resurrection Catholic School before a playoff game. Tingle, who was set to coach at RCS but died from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease at 52 on December 2, 2022, was remembered for his dedication to baseball and his community. The event was bittersweet, occurring just hours after the death of Gene Frederick, the father of the current RCS coach. The school and community celebrated Tingle's contributions as a physical therapist, coach, and mentor. His family, including his wife Melissa and their children, were part of the touching ceremony which also celebrated his posthumous contributions to the sport and his lifelong support for youth in baseball.

No. 12 Bulldogs get 3 more victories
SUMMARY: The No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast added three wins on the third day of the NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship, with victories in both singles and doubles consolation brackets, each with 8-0 scores, at the event hosted by Tyler Junior College. Coach Sam Blackburn praised the team's performance. Angela Moreno and Kendall Burn advanced to the semifinals in their respective singles brackets, while the team of Mikenzy Dubrow and Lauren Sullivan won in doubles and are set to play next against a team from Meridian.
