Aiming Higher: D'iberville archery wins third straight state championship
SUMMARY: Diberville's archery team has won the class 3 state championship for the fourth time in a row, continuing their dynasty. Top archers Landon Garrett and Avery Peterson attribute their success to hard work and teamwork. Coaches are already looking forward to next year and the possibility of a fourth state title. The team's dedication and passion make them confident in their ability to continue their winning streak. Former coach David Barber's foundation has helped shape the team into champions. The archers are proud to be a part of such a successful team and look forward to seeing their growth in the future.
With the win they capped off a three-peat with back-to-back-to-back state championships.

NEW DETAILS: Biloxi Councilman Robert Deming III pleads guilty to federal drug charge
SUMMARY: Buxy councilman Robert Demming pleaded guilty to federal drug charges related to his candy shop and catom businesses. After changing his plea to guilty of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute controlled substances, he faces a sentencing guideline of 70 to 87 months. Prosecutors revealed details of a 3-year investigation, including Demming adding synthetic cannaboids to CBD vapes sold at his stores. Raids were conducted on seven candy shop locations and Demming's home, where nearly $2 million in cash was seized. While he remains on bond, state law may require his removal from office as a public official pleading guilty to a felony.
So far, Deming has not indicated if or when he will leave office.
